Representation
Our film opening represents the difference of two parallel lives. There in a lot of controversial topics in the modern era on how we should all live a certain way and the outsiders get neglected form society. As a group we wanted to be the opposite; the idea that two people of two different personalities and backgrounds can still be together. It can be suggested that Alicia is a perfect example of how society thinks women should behave and act, we displayed this with the politeness features, the presence she brings and also the stereotypical London working woman. Whereas, Tez for example is the complete opposite and is represented as a thuggish young man who has very little money (the reason for pushing a woman out the way to get on to a train). Although, you may think this is exactly how society portrays people, well right at the end of the film opening we see these two parallel life characters come together. With the use of non-diegetic music it connotes they are going to have some sort of romance and defy societies stereotypes.
